Savage’s Recruit by Loki Renard

Cindy’s Review *This is a discipline book*

Le Femme Nikata (the 90’s TV show) meets GI Joe.

Captain Brett Savage mission is to take out the means for a Bulgarian terrorist cell to detonate a nuclear weapon. They need someone who can read algorithms to walk into there headquarters and deactivate the computer that controls the missiles. This is not a normal procedure for them so they need to find a civilian who can do it.

Zora Matthews is child prodigy. She has a photographic memory and is a genius with numbers. But she is also a hard parting alcoholic with an attitude problem and especially has a problem with authority.

Savage basically kidnaps her and takes her to there underground compound. She has to go through detox and does nothing but cuss and give Savage a lot of grief. She doesn’t care about there mission and finally pushes him to far.

Savage is used to his orders being followed and this spoiled brat who never does as she is told isn’t going get away with acting the way she does when there is a very important mission at hand.

What Zora doesn’t understand is Savage and the military own her now. There will be no going back to civilian life at least not alive. She hates Savage for this but on the other hand she is very attracted to him and gets off at times on the discipline and craves the feelings it gives her.

I didn’t know going into this that it was going to be a serial novel so the ending is a big cliff hanger but I’m hooked and looking forward to the next book.

Janet’s Review I read this book because trusted, fellow book readers recommend it. And am I glad I did!

I LOVED this story. Zora is a heroine that you can’t help but fall in love with. She is strong willed and feisty as hell. She kinda of reminded me of the old Timex commercial, could take a beating and keep on ticking.

I love to read about strong, independent women and Zora is one of the strongest female characters I have read in a long time.

Now, let’s add our Hero, Captain Brett Savage into the mix! Brett is the military Alpha male, to the extreme max….. What a delicious recipe for a Discipline book!

The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars, my fellow book reader friend *glaring at her*, forgot to tell me this books leaves readers with a major cliff hanger at the end!!!!!

Even with that said, I still highly recommend this story. I so can’t wait for the next book!
