Review: The Unwanted Wife by Natasha Anders

All Alessandro de Lucci wants from his wife is a son but after a year and a half of unhappiness and disillusionment, all Theresa de Lucci wants from her ice cold husband is a divorce. Unfortunate timing, since Theresa is about to discover that she’s finally pregnant and Alessandro is about to discover that he isn’t willing to lose Theresa.

The Unwanted Wife by Natasha Anders

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As I was reading this it reminded me of how Linda Howard used to write many years ago. The man starts out as unlikable and the woman a doormat that takes it until she’s had enough. I thoroughly enough these types of books.

Theresa thought she was marrying the man of her dreams. What she got was a man that only used her for sex and showed her no love or affection and he wants a son. As she was raised by a father that treated her the same way she’s decided she’s had enough and asks for a divorce.

Alessandro de Lucci is not what Theresa perceived him to be and as the story moves along we find out why he treated her the way he did and see the point where he realizes the mistakes he made and decides he doesn’t want a divorces but trying to convince his wife of that change is not easy and he has his work cut out for him.

What starts out as a depressing marriage that was based on lies turns out in the end to be a beautiful love story with a very touching happy ending.
