Review: Hot as Hell by Monette Michaels

Fed up with her incompetent boss, Interpol agent Dawn Wilson accepts a job with Security Specialists International. Her first assignment forces her into close contact with the devastatingly sexy, but far too pushy CIA agent Sam Crocker. When the SSI team, plus a forced-on-leave Sam, gathers in Aruba to take down a traitor to the United States, Sam soon discovers the beautiful, feisty Dawn’s skills are a complete match for his own. As the fairly low-risk operation goes FUBAR, their attraction ignites and turns hot as hell.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two characters from a previous book that left such a lasting impression on us diehard fans of the SSI series are given a novella of their own and it was sooo good. If you’re a fan of the series who could forget Interpol agent Dawn Wilson calling CIA agent Sam Crocker a crock of shit. She even comes up with some new names for him in this book.

Dawn and Sam both find themselves wanting a change in their jobs. After the last mission where they both assisted SSI they were offered jobs with them. Dawn is the first to quit hers but Sam is working with SSI on a forced vacation from the CIA to try and locate the DIA traitor who has been a thorn in their side for a while.

As with all the SSI books we get plenty of action and suspense along with hot alpha men and strong kick ass women. I’m so happy the author gave us Dawn and Sam’s story and look forward to seeing whose story is next.
