Review: Sweet Agony by Jessie Lane

Sweet Agony (Ex Ops #3, Sweet #1)Sweet Agony by Jessie Lane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

From how this first book went I am assuming the three books in this series are going to be the past, present and future of lives of Lucas and Ginny.

We’ve know Lucas since the start of the Ex Ops series. Knew he was brooding over the one that had gotten away. This book gives us what happened between and to Lucas and Ginny from when he was 9 and she 7 up until he is 30 and she 27. It actually ends where book 2 in the series left off. So main purpose here was to show us the intense love these two had for each other when they were kids but it had been doomed from the start first with their ages, second with Lucas not wanting to make her have to suffer during all of his deployments and third with the past coming back and yanking Ginny and her mom back into hell. For 5 years Lucas has had no clue where Ginny disappeared to. He still doesn’t know at the end of this book but we the reader do and with that we also know it’s not going to be an easy road for these two to get to a happily ever after.
